Datamars Office Fit-Out

Datamars, a data research centre, were completing their move to a new location in Little Island at the end of 2023. They needed a clean, high-functioning workspace built around hot-desking for 35 staff, two boardrooms for short and long meetings including weekly directors' sessions, breakout spaces for 1-to-1s, and ample storage — all furnished with high-quality liquidated furniture in a simple, professional colour palette. Ergonomics was a top priority, with every seat requiring multiple adjustments to cater for all staff.

CJM worked closely with the client to design a workspace that balanced clean aesthetics with serious ergonomic performance. We specified all mesh-back seating with multiple adjustments across the open-plan floor, paired with 1400mm white veneer hot desks fitted with adjustable double monitor arms, privacy screens, and cable management trays. Two boardrooms were furnished — a large 4.8m × 1.6m three-sectional solid veneer table capable of bearing presentation equipment, and a barrel-shaped table for smaller meetings. Soft-seated breakout areas and a round meeting table gave staff dedicated spaces away from their desks. The result was a tidy, high-functioning environment delivered entirely from quality liquidated stock.
