2019 - Current
At the end of 2019, CJM entered a competitive tender to refit the Naval Operations Centre at Haulbowline. The facility had not been updated for years, and the Defence Forces required robust, high-performance workstations with full cable management, removable panels for wiring access, ventilation for equipment, and integration for electrical control items. Delivery speed and precision were critical, with a tight timeframe and specific design needs.
CJM’s proposal combined strength, durability, and technical precision. We designed and manufactured three large bespoke console workstations seating nine staff, a slanted standing-height station with under-storage for communications equipment, and multiple low storage units with worktop overhangs. Each workstation was tailored to fit existing infrastructure, including wall pipe allowances. Ergonomic 24-hour operator chairs with advanced adjustability completed the setup. Production drawings were approved quickly, and all furniture was installed within a 2-week turnaround—meeting every functional requirement and earning strong praise from the Defence Forces.
