The Brief

The client set a goal of refitting a traditional office space into a new modern workplace, where teams could take themselves out of the office seat and into more focused spaces. With over 250 people on site, the project involved delivering a new reception space for teams to collaborate across breakout zones, modern ergonomic office seating to improve working conditions, huddle rooms for employees to have 1-1 meetings or private calls, a refurbished canteen to relax during lunch breaks, soundproof booths for staff to take private calls, and a fully refreshed boardroom fit-out to bring the building into the modern era.

Our Solution

CJM held countless planning meetings with procurement and office managers to ensure the layout was exactly how it was envisioned, so the right furniture was placed in the right zones to allow staff to thrive in their new workplace. The client created a space full of bright colours, comfortable spaces, and modernised furniture to show staff that the company was moving to the next level of working environments. Acoustic booths were installed to provide private spaces for staff to take personal calls, benches and spaces were designed to fit focus rooms for private video calls and meetings, soft seating was assembled for multiple people to meet in comfortable spacious areas, and modern ergonomic canteen furniture with bright colours and long-lasting materials was installed to allow staff to take well-earned breaks.

Specialist Items: Acoustic single-person chat box and Slab High 1200mm bench in various veneer colours
